Author Bio
Helen Fielding born in Yorkshire England, in 19581 began her career at BBC as a journalist for a news magazine1. For one of her articles she worked at a refugee camp in Eastern Sudan. Her experiences there lead to her first novel Cause Celeb. After her first novel was published Fielding was ask to write for many newspapers, including The Independent where she was asked to write a column about her life. Fielding was too embarrassed to use her own name and therefore Bridget Jones was born. When Fielding realized how much exposure she received she admitted that she was actually Bridget Jones and created a book series based around her character.
